Uganda Christian University -Mukono has today bestowed a piece of land 0.46 acres to Mukono Diocese to enable the Diocese construct the new Sts.Philip and Andrew’s Cathedral. In return, The Diocese has also offered 0.57 acres of land in Besaniya for University use.

The handing over ceremony was officiated by the Bishop of Mukono Diocese, Rt Rev Enos Kitto Kagodo and it was witnessed by Bishop Emeritus Jackson Matovu, Provost – The Very Rev.Can.Ssengendo, Diocesan Secretary Rev.John Musoke, Legal Department, Lands and Estates Department, Finance and the Diocesan Cathedral Construction committee which is chaired by Dr. Livingstone Ssewanyana.

The Uganda Christian University was represented by the Vice chancellor Prof.Aaron Mushengyezi, Deputy Vice chancellor David Mugawe, Rev.Assoc.Prof.John Mulindwa Kitayimbwa, Dr.Richard Mulindwa Head of Church Relations at UCU among others.

The construction work is due to start as soon as all the formalities have been completed.
