St. Paul Nazigo Primary Teachers College is registered by National Examinations through Kyambogo University under the Registration No: T073 for Grade three Teachers Examinations.
BACKGROUND
In 1983, the government of Uganda Established primary Teachers College here at Nazigo with the aim of training teachers in the areas as it had been done elsewhere in the country. In 2001, the college was phased out with some twenty one primary teachers colleges (21) countrywide after the closure of st Paul Nazigo Primary Teachers college; Government replaced it with community polytechnic Instructors College, one of the eleven which were established country wide.
When the Government Phased out this college in 2001 it was re-established through a memorandum of understanding between the Government of Uganda (MOES) and the Anglican Church of Uganda (Mukono Diocese). In August 2005, the College got affiliated to Kyambogo University for the award of Grade Three Certificates
LICENCE
The college was initially government aided but when it was phased in 2001 a memorandum of understanding between the government and the Anglican Church of Uganda Mukono Diocese was made to re-establish the college as a private college
CURRICULUM
The college’s Curriculum confirms to that laid down by Kyambogo University in terms of content and guidelines. We received the various syllabi from Kyambogo and University and are ones followed when training the Students teachers
